Professional Headshots can be easy and affordable with a photo booth!
What do you think is the gas that makes the engine of a business run? sales? marketing? How about customer support? Each of these departments keep things running smoothly, but the people behind the wheel are what truly drives your business to stand out. While a business' "image" is the logo, branding, website, and promotional materials, it's also your greatest asset - the people themselves. The best way to present your people is with a high-quality, professional head shot.
Hiring a photographer to take headshots of your employees can be a strenuous experience. To start, they can be extremely expensive. The average cost can be anywhere from $100-$250 per person. While that can typically be justified for c-level executives or a frequent public speaker, that pricing doesn't scale well for a high-growth company who simply needs a solid photo for their employee's e-mail signatures or security badges or even a small team who just wants cohesive website bios.
Second, it can be uncomfortable. Picture entering a cramped conference room surrounded by a barrage of lights and equipment. In a 1-3 minute session, it's difficult to connect with the photographer and present your best, most authentic expressions. What's worse is, proofs typically don't arrive until days or weeks later so the time to call for a "re-do!" has long passed.
So, how do you show off your people without busting your budget? Enter the head shot photo booth.
A couple years ago, we were hired by a large company in Boston to set-up a "head shot booth" at their annual conference. The company selected a neutral light blue backdrop and people were excited to update their online image. Over the course of four days and a non-stop line, we took nearly 1,600 head shots for their attendees. As they exited the photo booth, attendees were able to review their images on-site and e-mail the photos to themselves immediately - instant gratification! After the event, we were hired by the company who put on the conference to continue taking headshots for their new hire classes on a bi-weekly basis. Additionally, they occasionally host "school picture days" where anyone in the office has a chance to freshen up their look. Since the company uses their signature color on a custom printed backdrop, their employees are un-mistakable when scrolling through LinkedIn!
While we can't speak for every head shot photographer out there, a head shot photo booth will almost always be the more affordable option. In addition to cost considerations, something changes when a non-judgemental machine takes the headshot instead of a human. Employees are able to relax and maybe even have some fun with it! Also, because of the on-site review, people can re-do their shots until they're happy with the final product.
To sum it up, if you're looking for an affordable solution to show off the exceptional people who keep your business running, consider a head shot photo booth.
